This Canadian actress is probably far better known for her portrayal of ‘Kate Austen’ in ABC’s epic drama series, ‘Lost,’ but she’s emerged from her cocoon and how so perhaps it’s time to take heed of her real name now because she might just be Hollywood’s ‘Next Big Thing.’
Growing up in a devoutly protestant Canadian family Lilly harboured great dreams of acting in the future and thus ended up attending the Yaletown Actors Lab to learn her art. Unfortunately up until ‘Lost’ (which was her first speaking role), she struggled with lame cameos and small, not-so-memorable parts. All it took was 'Lost's' lucky break to ensure that she was engraved in our minds forever.
It didn’t take long to figure out just how hot this Canadian firecracker was once she was wrecked on that god-forsaken island, because when you’re living in the wild and you still look that good, well..that’s a hard thing to beat!
And now, post all the ‘Lost’ success, Evangeline has managed to bag her first major Hollywood role in this week’s latest release, ‘Real Steel’ across none other than Hugh Jackman! (Talk about making it big!) While the movie itself has received mixed reviews, critics have unanimously voted her mere presence to be one of the joys of the production.
So for finally transforming into the big, beautiful Hollywood Butterfly that we always knew she was, believing in herself against all odds, and just being so ridiculously good-looking, Evangeline Lilly is our ‘Babe of the Week.’
