Just when we were sick of hearing about beyond-her-prime Aishwarya and so-gauche-it-hurts Mallika at Cannes this year, in stepped Sonam.

Never mind that she was there primarily to promote the cosmetics brand she is a brand ambassador for. Sonam looked great, and that's really all we care about.

Sonam carried off her Jean Paul Gaultier gown with perfection, and it was a refreshing change from Mallika's check-out-my-underwear crassness and Aishwarya's desperate over-the-top dress sense. 

Really, Sonam's so pretty it hurts. Check out the picture below--we dare you to say otherwise!

So one thing's certain: with Sonam around, we're well represented at international film festivals for a while now. Now if only her movies would do better at the box office…
