Ever wondered what those overly complicated mechanisms used to perform relatively simple tasks like lifting a spoon or ringing a bell are called? Well, they are Rube Goldberg machines. These are named after cartoonist/engineer Rube Goldberg, who popularised such devices in the early part of the last century.

They sought help of experts from the California Institute of Technology, MIT and even, NASA to create the perfect Rube Goldberg video.
