The 2012 UEFA Super Cup will be the 37th Super Cup match. The match is contested between the reigning champions of the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea, and UEFA Europa League winners, Atlético Madrid.

Both the tournaments are organized by UEFA itself. The 2012 Super Cup will be held on August 31, at Stade Louis II in Monaco. Both the teams will be making their second appearance in the Super Cup, with both winning the Super Cup during their last appearance.

Chelsea bagged their previous Super Cup against Real Madrid in 1998, and Atlético Madrid against FC Internazionale Milano in 2010. Both the clubs will try to recreate the magic this time around.

This year will also mark Atlético Madrid's second appearance in this game in the last two years! This will be the last Super Cup match at the Stade Louis II stadium. The 2013 edition of the UEFA Super Cup will be held at Eden Stadium in Prague. 

So rally your soccer-crazy friends and be sure not to miss out all the action. However, make sure you are sufficiently caffenated as the match begins at 00:15; but it's totally worth staying up late!
