We don't know about everybody else but it was this movie that made us start taking Kareena more seriously as a true artiste. She took on the challenge of playing the role of a sex worker opposite renowned indie cinema actor, Rahul Bose. 

She is the large-hearted beautiful prostitute who helps him through the most trying period of his life and changes his entire philosophy. As one might imagine, it was a huge risk for her to take on a female-centric role like this in Bollywood, where such scripts are usually doomed to success. Not only did she take it on but she transformed it into a stellar film which deserved every last accolade it received. Unsurprisingly, she bagged the Filmfare Special Award for Best Performance for her role in the film.
