Both the film and her performance in it were absolutely tremendous. An adaptation of Shakespeare's masterful Othello set in feudal India, Kareena was to be the Indian Desdemona in the film. The wife who is suspected of infidelity by her husband, Ajay Devgan, her acting prowess comes across phenomenally in this adaptation.

Once again in a cast full of huge stars, she holds her own with her usual confidence and ease. She eventually ended up bagging the FIlmfare Best Actress Award, Star Screen Award for Best Actress and the IIFA Best Actress Award for this particular performance so it's clear why it made it onto our list of must-watch Kareena films.
