Jennifer Lynn Lopez was born in the Bronx to Puerto Rican parents. Her mom, Guadalupe, was a kindergarten teacher while her dad, David, was a computer specialist. She had two sisters--Leslie and Lynda--both of whom were musically inclined as well; and their mother encouraged all three to entertain each other with theatrical performances in their front room.
