As one of India's sister countries, the situation here is hardly much better. And the woman-degrading Islamic laws make the matter even worse. Honour killings are consistently on the rise here with 2011 seeing over 1000 of them. They've exported this practice to the West as well.

Worse still, there isn't a modicum of freedom in anymedium for anyone to truly express the extent of the injustices here making it seem a bit like a one-way street for the women who reside there.
