Miss Universe 2002

Meet the first--and only--crown holder to have actually had her prestigious title snatched away from her. She was officially 'dethroned' for 'failing to function in her responsibilities as Miss Universe.' The beauteous woman in question was none other than Russia's Oxana Fedorova. 

Though there was very little clarity as far as her dethroning was concerned, the above-mentioned fact was the most cited reason for it. That year's runner-up, Panama's Justine Pasek, official assumed the title when Fedorova was removed on September 23rd, 2002.
