Caran d'Ache Gothica Pen

This pen was launched in China in 2006 and is still considered to be one of the most expensive pens in the world. Its deisgn is intriguing as it has been constructed and envisioned to be a tribute to Gothic art. Both the body and the cap featue six-sided rhodium-coated sterling silver and both sides have a Gothic window of rosette and fleurs-de-lis, which combine in luminous colours.

The pen costs a whopping $406,453, and the company only manufactured about 1,140 pieces in this deisgn.
