La Modernista Diamonds Pen

This one was developed back in 1995 and when it was unveiled, it was easily one the most expesnive pens the world had ever seen. That's probably why the designer, Caran D'Ache, chose to unveil it at the Paris Pen Show. The deisgn itself is a tribute to Spansih architect, Antoni Gaudi and it features a stunning 18-carat rhodium-coated gold nib.

The pen's body is also covered with 5,072 30-carat Wesselton diamonds, 96 rubies; and hence, it's no surprise that it costs $275,000!
