On the occasion of the 111th birthday of late Hollywood star Clark Gable, we take a look at some classic leading men that helped make Hollywood what it is today
Clark Gable (1901-1960)
More than 50 years after his passing on, Clark Gable still remains a household name around the world. This is because of his portrayal of Rhett Bulter in the 1939 classic 'Gone With The Wind.' Aptly nicknamed 'The King of Hollywood,' Gable was named the greatest male star of all time by the American Film Institute.
While he didn't win an Oscar for 'Gone With The Wind,' he did win a golden statue for 'It Happened One Night' in 1934.
