Warning: This one is about as strange as they come! 

In Catalonia, ‘Caga Tio’ is a pooping log and an entirely bizarre Christmas tradition. It starts with a hollowed out log, which is propped up on 4 little leg-like sticks and a face is painted on it. Then, from December 8 onwards, Caga Tio is "fed" and covered with a blanket--we wouldn’t want him to catch a cold! 

On Christmas eve, he is finally put in the fireplace and beaten with a stick. While they are doing so they also order him to "poop!"
