Let's take a look at the most kickass tight budgeted flicks of 2012!

Small Films That Did Big Business in 2012

Kahaani

This Vidya Balan starrer was made on a shoestring budget of only Rs 8 crore, and yet it looks as slick as a double-digit crore production. Shot entirely by employing the art of guerrilla filmmaking (shooting in real locations without any previous knowledge given to onlookers) to avoid unwanted attention, Kahaani was shot in the span of 64 days across the busy streets of Kolkata, and that captured the charm and gave the flick a realistic charm it needed.

And aptly so, the movie worked wonders! It was critically acclaimed to be a box office hit and went on to earn Rs 104 crore. Talk about smashing records!
