Inglourious Basterds

QT's most recent release has also turned out to be his highest-grossing one! Set in World War II, this tale has two parallel plots in which the protagonists are attempting to assassinate the Nazi High Command. The first protagonist, played by Brad Pitt, is an American and the second plot features Melanie Laurent, a French girl who is seeking revenge for her family's death.

The entire film is a captivating blend of genres, and the performances delivered by each and every cast member are mind-blowing. It went on to receive nominations for both Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards. Christopher Waltz's riveting performance as a vicious Nazi officer, 'The Jew Hunter,' even won him an Oscar!
