On the occasion of his birthday here's our list of Ritchie's best blockbusters yet. Grab a beer, rent them all and enjoy.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
As just another film, this one was riveting, gorgeously directed and an absolute must-watch. As a directorial debut from someone who quickly became poised to be the 'next big thing' it was a veritable explosion of verbose dialogue and crazy crime capers.
The style was undeniably original, telling of Ritchie's unique mind and of course, incredibly entertaining. Since its conception and execution there honestly hasn't been another film like it, aside from some of Ritchie's other directorial gems of course. It speaks highly of a style that is so impeccably polished, it's become impossible to imitate without seeming trite. All in all, definitely one of the greatest films ever written.
