On the occasion of his birthday here's our list of Ritchie's best blockbusters yet. Grab a beer, rent them all and enjoy.
Snatch
This is one of the only movies that's come even remotely close to the pedestal 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' rested on. When it came out, it became very evident that Ritchie had a special ability to bring gangster films to life. He became the king of this genre and as such, ended up doing a lot of good to the somewhat staling British Film industry.
What made it stand out? Well, for one thing, it's hard to go wrong with names like Brad Pitt (playing a hilarious and devious gypsy that too) and Jason Statham. Aside from that, the dialogues in his films are as unforgettable as they are difficult to understand thanks to the thick cockney accents. The script is incredibly authentic and needless to say, as is the case with all Ritchie films, you simply can't look away from the screen. This is British entertainment at its finest.
