LRAD
LRAD or Long Range Acoustic Device is not a weapon per se; it's more of a combat aid that's used to communicate with or deter large groups of people over long distances. This system operates on low-frequency sound waves that have long wavelenghts. It can amplify normal sounds up to 120-150 decibels.
The system is usually first used to warn an approaching group. If this warning is not heeded, an extremely loud warning tone is emitted, causing extreme discomfort. This amazing system has been used against protestors, pirates and even whalers!
