This team completely changed the way cricket is played today. Since the mid-90s, the Australians sported two distinct squads for tests and ODIs--a trend that is followed everywhere today. This ploy worked fantastically for the Aussies as they won 3 consecutive World Cups--one under Steve Waugh and two under Ricky Ponting--and were the No. 1 test side as well.

When you have the likes of Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Brett Lee and Andy Bichel bowling for you and talents like Ponting, Waugh, Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden batting, it's hard to even think about losing. Which is why this Australian unit registered a record 16 consecutive test wins not once but twice!
