We teach you how to tread when the suits throw you a tough question in a job interview

5 Difficult Interview Questions (And How You Should Respond)

What salary do you expect?

Salary is always a delicate topic so give an adequate response with this in mind. The company can gauge a lot about you and your true motivation depending on the kind of answer you give, which is why they ask it in the first place.

Make sure you’ve done your research on the market-rate, don’t overquote, try not to give a specific figure but rather opt for a range, and make it clear that your learning and experience are more important. Most importantly, don't sell yourself short because if you're being underpaid, you're probably going to get miserable at your new job real soon. However, this depends on the market scenario and your personal situation. Consider all that and come up with a number that works!
