This one holds true for all women, in general. They're almost like children with given that they like shiny, new toys--unless they are antique collectors or something! 

The basic principle here is that unless the item is one that is meaningful, they're always going to be secondhand goods that are just going to make her feel as though you didn't give it much thought at all! So avoid this landmine!
