Resolutions are much like goals and the best way to set them is to be SMART about them. In my yearly Kick-start your Year Workshops, this is one of the first things I share.

SMART stands for
Specific,
Measurable,
Achievable,
Realistic and
Time Bound.

When you make a resolution, you are making a commitment to be resolute about something and the most important ingredient that will see you through is “determination”.
