No one expects Top Chef-level cooking, but you should have the basics down. Start with learning how to fix breakfast and graduate to a chicken/fish dinner accompanied with a tossed salad. Cooking is a great way to show others you care while indulging your creative instincts at the same time. And remember, if you cook, they clean!
