Mil MI-24 Hind
The Mil MI-24 is a large helicopter gunship and attack helicopter that is often used as a transporter as well. Primarily used by the Russian Air Force, the MI series of helicopters is used by several other countries, including India. The Indian Air Force currently has one squadron of MI-25 (Hind D) and MI-35 (Hind E) each. These are the export versions of the MI-24.
The Hind has been in active service since 1972, and it remains one of the premier combat choppers in the world.
