Royal Enfield

The original Royal Enfield chain of motorcycles was started in 1893 and became defunct by 1971; yet a subsidiary still manufactures these iconic bikes in Chennai. The legacy of Royal Enfield dates back to it's involvement in World War I and World War II. Manufacturing bikes capable of packing a punch and enduring punishing terrains was the company's goal and they excelled at it.

Post World War II, these rugged bikes had a hardcore fan following who swore by it. And the fandom is still evident as the bikes still sell like hot cakes!
