The Superbowl 2012

Of all pro sports, no ceremony costs as much as this grand show. Even a tailgating ticket (which only allows you into the parking lot for barbecues and partying) costs a staggering $ 1,500; so you can imagine how expensive the actual festivities are.

In 2012 itself, the ceremony (though technically it's the halftime show, and not the opening ceremony) saw the likes of Madonna, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A, Lenny Kravitz and The Fray perform.
