Here's a quick look at the ascent and demise of one of tennis' greatest men's doubles teams
The Final Straw
The Lee-Hesh battle took a messy turn as time passed. Paes and Bhupathi got together after a long gap at the Australian Open. Yet, things went sour again and chaos ensued. The pair reached the finals but lost to American twins Bob and Mike Bryan. Soon, a war of words followed and all hell broke loose. Mahesh has refused to team up with Leander for the 2012 Olympics. Instead of joining hands with Paes, Bhupathi prefers to team up with Rohan Bopanna.
However, most fans would love to see the two gems of Indian tennis make peace and give that elusive Olypic medal a shot together. For now, Paes it's still not clear if Paes will agree to partner with 206th-ranked Vishnu Vardhan at the London Games. Only time will tell where the Lee-Hesh partnership/rivalry is headed.
