Italian Sambuca

This Italian liqueur contains about 42% alcohol and is known for its surprisingly refreshing taste. It's made using essential oils from star anise, sugar and some added flavors. While this drink is said to be a derivative of the Greek ouzo, sambuca has now developed a cult following for itself. 

While sambuca tastes best neat, variations like the flaming sambuka are also quite popular.
